For the past few weeks Mrs. Anderson had worried about something unknown to her husband. Sunday morning she prepared breakfast and then went into the yard, in the rear of several outbuildings. On the quiet she had secured his razor, and while back of the outbuildings drew it across her throat, making a cut five inches long, extending into her windpipe, which it fortunately did not cut entirely in two. After doing the deed, she returned to the home and told her husband of it. She said she did it on account of the trouble she was having with the baby. Dr. J. M. Gross, of Dover, was summoned, and dressed the injury which required a number of stitches. Her condition is not serious and her recovery is expected. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, August 21, 1909
