Arnold tried to strangle himself with a belt in a cell at city police headquarters. He had been arrested by Patrolmen Geesey and Keener for disorderly conduct on complaint of his wife. Appearing in police court yesterday morning Arnold was turned over to Alderman Stager to answer a charge of surety of the peace. Arnold is alleged to have made threats against his wife.
