INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE

Berkheimer Freed From Charge of Larceny of Gold Watch.

Lewis Berkheimer, of this place, was arrested on Monday by Constable Stahl, of the Second Ward, 
on a warrant issued by Squire I. R. Witmer, charged on oath of Mrs. Bessie M. Johnson, of the 
Pigeon Hills, with the larceny of a gold watch.  A hearing was held before Squire Witmer at 8 
o’clock Tuesday evening, after which the defendant was discharged for want of sufficient 
evidence.
