He is bedfast, suffering from internal injuries. Dr. L. H. Fackler, of York, is the attending physician. Severe pains in the abdominal region cause the patient considerable unrest, although the kick is not likely to result fatally. Mr. Bott was leading two mules to the water trough. One of them became frightened and ran up against the other one. Quick as a flash the second mule kicked with both hind legs, striking Mr. Bott with one of them squarely over the abdomen. He was sent reeling upon the ground and was found dying there by members of his family. Mr. Bott say the mule that kicked him was never before known to have any fractious tendencies and he attributes the accident to the fact that the other mule took fright. Mr. Bott is a son of William Bott, Sr., of West York and a brother of Mrs. George W. Stark, of this place. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, November 23, 1912
