Crowl, of Pennville, while riding a bicycle on Chestnut street last Saturday afternoon, ran into a wagon and was thrown to the street with great force, sustaining a severe cut over the left eye and internal injuries. He was also rendered unconscious for a short time. Dr. Geo. H. Jordy gave preliminary treatment, after which he conveyed the unfortunate man to his home, where he was place in the care of the family physician, Dr. C. E. Bortner. Mr. Crowl is an employee of the Long Table Works, West End, and, it is said was just learning to ride a wheel. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, December 27, 1913
