ANNIVERSARY: Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. FLICKINGER

York Dispatch, October 17, 1947


Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. FLICKINGER, the oldest residents of Jefferson, will 
celebrate their 67th wedding anniversary, Friday Oct. 31. The couple was married 
in 1880 by the Rev. S. LARREY. Mr. FLICKINGER is 88 years old. Mrs. FLICKINGER, 
85 years old, is the former Alice E. FISSEL. Mr. and Mrs. FLICKINGER are the 
parents of 10 children, five of whom are living. They are Mrs. Dora BAILEY, 
Maurice FLICKINGER, Samuel FLICKINGER, Grace SHAEFFER, and Anna FLICKINGER. They 
have 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. The FLICKINGERS were in the 
hotel business for 50 years at Jefferson.
