Oberdier, fifty years old, of York, committed suicide Oct. 24, by hanging himself in the stable of Noah Ness on the same day that he was to appear at a hearing before Alderman N. C. May on a charge of having attempted to assault Mrs. Augustus Rosher. The prosecution for which friends and relatives assert there was not the slightest grounds, prayed upon the defendant’s mind and caused him to end his life. His wife and daughters allege he was the victim of persecutions. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, November 2, 1912
