In House of Detention

Last Saturday, Reul Schwartz, of High street, was arrested by Officer Smeach, on 
a warrant issued by I. R. Witmer, Esq., on oath of Wayne W. Kroh, on a charge of 
larceny of cigars, cigarettes and chewing gum, also breaking open a box.

The defendant gave bail for a hearing, and on Monday plead guilty to the charge.  
Later in the day he was taken to the House of Detention at York by Officer 
Smeach, where he will be held until the case is presented at the September 
court.
