Promotion For Jack Sutton

Word has been received here that Jack Sutton has been promoted to the department 
of Secret Code work in the army and navy headquarters at Washington, D. C., and 
many of the orders for the troops along the border at the present time are sent 
out through him.

Mr. Sutton has only held a government position two years.  At first he was 
connected with the Bureau of Navy Statistics.

He was the youngest both in years and in service to take the examination which 
lead to his promotion.

The young man is a son of Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Sutton, of Franklin Street.
