Wentz, of Centennial avenue, met with a painful accident about 9 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 21, which might have resulted seriously. She had been visiting her son, Morris Wentz, near Houck’s Mill, who was bringing her home, accompanied by his little son. The horse took fright at a traction engine on the Becker Mill road, and ran up an embankment, upsetting the buggy, and throwing the occupants to the ground. Mrs. Wentz’s shoulder blade was broken, and she was also considerably bruised. Her son and grandson escaped uninjured. She was conveyed to her home by neighbors, and Drs. R. N. and J. K. Meisenhelder were called, who reduced the fracture. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, August 24, 1912
