All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/york/ _______________________________________________ SWARM OF BEES Attacked Paul Yohe and He Was Forced To Underbrush Paul Yohe, of East Middle Street, had an adventure Sunday morning while walking on the Mummert hill, near the Pigeon Hill trolley station with his father-in- law, Edward Boyer, that he is not likely to forget for some time. They had just alighted from the trolley and started up the hill on their way to visit a relative when they noticed a swarm of bees coming their way. Mr. Boyer nimbly stepped out of the way, but the young man was not so fortunate and the bees started to “honey” him. They began circling around him, and all efforts to avoid the bees was useless, as they wouldn’t “shoo.” He then started to run but they kept right after him and it required a wild dash through thick underbrush to gain his freedom.
