William Altland, a one time resident of Dillsburg, died early Tuesday morning at 
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Cromer, in Franklin township, the cause of his 
death being pneumonia.  He was born September 4, 1860, and was a son of the late 
Daniel G. and Susan Shearer Altland.  He is survived by a brother, David 
Altland, of Dillsburg, and a sister, Mrs. Jesse Haar, residing near Big Dam.

The funeral was held from the residence of his sister, Mrs. Haar, Wednesday 
morning, with interment at Mount Zion.  Rev. S.A. Crabill conducted the service.
