Anderson, retired mail carried and father of District Attorney Walter I Anderson died at his home at Fawn Grove, on Monday morning shortly before 2 o'clock. Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage which he suffered last Saturday night. He was in his 77th year. Mr. Anderson carried mail from the Woodbine post office for 23 years, retiring in 1925. He was a member of the Chanceford Presbyterian church near Woodbine, the Masonic and Knights of Pythais lodges of Fawn Grove, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Airville, and the Fawn Grove Grange. He is survived by two sons, Walter I Anderson, York, William E. Anderson and a daughter, Mrs. Ervin Slenker, who resides at home, a half sister Georgia E. Anderson. The funeral was held Wednesday with services at the house at 2 p.m. Rev. S. H. Jewell officiated, assisted by the Rev J. G. Eaton. Interment in the Chanceford cemetery.
