He was taken ill on Tuesday night. After being attacked he sank so rapidly that the medical attention was of no avail. For some years, Mr. Anderson had been conducting a truck farm, assisted by several children, who with his wife survive him. It is said to satisfy his thirst when he was overheated, he drank cider fresh from the press and it caused his death. Previous to Tuesday, when Anderson visited the cider mill, he was in his usual good health. It was an extremely hot day, and as the freshly extracted apple juice ran from the press, Mr. Anderson drank it. A short time later he was attacked with severe pains in his stomach and never rallied. His death, which took place on Friday morning, was a great surprise to his family and neighbors. Delta Herald and Times, Delta, Pennsylvania, 21 August 1908
