SCALDS PROBE FATAL TO MRS. H. W. ARCHER

Hopewell Township Woman Follows Her Husband Quickly In Death
----
Stewartstown, April 22 - Mrs. Caroline Archer, widow of Howard NW. Archer 
whose death occurred last Sunday, died on Saturday morning at her home in 
Hopewell township, aged about 60 years.  Mrs. Archer's death was due to scalds 
sustained when some boiling water fell on her arm, sides and hands.  This 
affected her heart.  Surviving her are the following: One son, McKinley 
Archer, near Gatchelville: one daughter, Mrs. Mary Reherd.  East Hopewell 
township: two brothers James Bailey, Violet Hill; Neal Bailey, Tolna; one 
sister, Mrs. Samuel Markle, Toln: (Tolna?) A half brother Carlton Bailey, 
Stewartstown, and a stepmother Mrs Henry Grove Stewartstown.  The funeral will 
be held on Tuesday meeting at the house at 1 p.m.  Further services will be 
conducted in the West Liberty Methodist Episcopal church, and interment made in
the church cemetery.
