During the thunderstorm on Tuesday afternoon the wife of Jos. BADDERS near New Park, was killed by lightening. The thunderbolt passed down the chimney, across the ceiling and struck the cupboard. Mrs. BADDERS was in the kitchen and was struck on the head and instantly killed. She leaves a husband and a family of five children. Source: Delta Heard and Times, Delta, Pennsylvania May 16, 1890 ------------ Killed By Lightning Mrs. Joseph Badders was killed by a stroke of lightning on last Tuesday evening, at her home in Harford county, MD, about a mile from New Park, York County. She was preparing supper about 6 o'clock, and was working over the cook stove near the chimney. A lightning stroke down the chimney caused her death instantaneously. She leaves a husband and five children, and was about 45 years of age.
