Baker died at her home, rear of No. 217 Baltimore St., at 7:40 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 24th, following an illness of several weeks from a complication of diseases. She was aged 79 years, 1 months and 22 days. The deceased’s maiden name was Miss Louisa E. Hartman and she was born in Springfield Township, York County, September 2, 1836. Fifty-six years ago she was married to Solomon Keeney, of the same township, and from this union ten children were born. Mr. Keeney died on June 15, 1908, and on May 16th, 1911 she was married to Rev. D. H. Baker, of this place, formerly of Abbottstown. Besides her second husband she is survived by six children: G. M. Keeney, Mrs. Ellen Hafer and Mrs. Mary Wolf, of York; Pius Keeney, of Lancaster county; S. F. Keeney, of New Oxford, and Mrs. Howard B. Allewalt, of West Middle Street, Hanover. There are also 24 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and one brother and two sisters – Ephraim Hartman, Mrs. Isabelle Snyder and Mrs. Ellen Leader, all of Jacobus. Funeral Sunday morning at 9 o’clock, short services at the house, further services and interment at Mummert’s meeting house near East Berlin, Rev. E. S. Miller, of Black Rock, assisted by Rev. D. B. Hoht, of Blooming Grove, and Rev. H. S. Baker, of Broadway, Hanover, officiating. Preaching service will be held on Saturday evening at 7:30 o’clock at the house by Rev. Daniel Bowers, of York, and Rev. B. C. Whitmore, of this place. The officiating clergymen were selected by the deceased before her death, as was also the funeral directors, the A. B.
