Miss Alice Gertrude Beard

Miss Alice Gertrude Beard, 85, formerly of Hanover, died Friday evening at 
Pleasant Acres, where she was a guest for 4 years. A daughter of the late Harry 
and Laura Cromer Beard, she was a life-long member of First Methodist Church and 
was a charter member of the Hanover YWCA. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Jessie 
Plowman, Gettysburg and several nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services will be held Monday at 2 pm at the Bucher Funeral Home, 
Hanover. Her pastor Rev. Fred C Stiner, will officiate. Internment will be in 
Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
