Bechtel Fred Leroy Bechtel, 9 Westminster avenue died last evening at 6:30 o’clock at the Hanover General hospital where he had been a patient since April 23. Death was due to typhoid fever. He passed this thirty-second birthday anniversary on Thursday. Mr. Becthel was a son of Henry G. and Mary Brumgard Bechtel, 515 Frederick street. Surviving are his parents, his wife, who before her marriage was Miss Hilda Feeser, and a daughter Mary, both of whom are suffering from the same disease; two brothers, Curving Bechtel, near Littlestown, and Leslie Bechtel, at home, and five sisters, Mrs. Cleveland Barnhart, near St. Bartholomew’s church; Mrs. Curvin Sholl, Parkville; Mrs. David Hykes, Hampton; Mrs. Paul Wentz and Mrs. John Barnhart, West Manheim township. He was a member of Hanover Lodge, No. 227, Loyal Order of Moose. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning from the W. A. Feiser funeral home, Carlisle street. Services will be conducted at 9:30 o’clock with further services in St. Bartholomew’s Union church. The Rev. A. M. Hollinger, pastor of the West Manheim Lutheran charge, will officiate.
