Alexander Becker

Alexander Becker died last night at 10 o’clock at the family residence, Baer 
avenue.  Death was due to a complication of diseases.  He was aged 59 years, six 
months and 17 days.  He was the son of the late Jonas and Susanna (Senft) 
Becker.  Thirty eight years ago he was married to Miss Mandilla Albright, who 
survives with two daughters, Mrs. A. H. Trone, North Codorus township, and Mrs. 
Jacob Mummert, Heidelberg township, and one son, John C. Becker, at home.  Two 
brothers, Jacob Becker, Penn township, and Jonas Becker, Heidelberg township, 
and four sisters, Mrs. Eli Trone, Penn township; Mrs. Emanuel Miller, Hanover; 
Mrs. Solomon Kaltreider, Blooming Grove, and Mrs. Jacob Snyder, Spring Grove, 
also survive.

The funeral will be held Saturday morning.  A brief service will be conducted at 
the Becker home at 9:30 o’clock and further services will be conducted in St. 
Paul’s (Dubs’) church.  The Rev. E. M. Sando will officiate.  Burial will be 
made in the cemetery adjoining the church.
