George Becker died at his home, 617 Abbottstown Street, last night at 8:40 o'clock, of blood poisoning, the result of a scratch on his right leg from a finger nail. He was confined to bed for a week. Deceased was aged 67 years, 5 months and 21 days. Mr. Becker was a carriage builder at New Baltimore for a number of years, moving to Hanover nine years ago, where he conducted a fertilizer business in the warehouse near Five Points, rear of Baltimore Street. About 36 years ago he was married to Miss Lucy Ann Myers, of Seven Valley, who with one daughter, Mrs. Levi Bowman, of Abbottstown Street, and one son, Dr. Harvey M. Becker, of Sunbury, survive him. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Henry Schue, of Five Points, Adams County, and two brothers, Simon and Elias Becker, of New Baltimore. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon, at 1 o'clock; short services at the house conducted by Rev. Dr. J. C. Koller. Interment in the graveyard at Bair's meeting-house.
