JOHN T. BELL
Died at his home in Lower Chanceford township, on Thursday, February 4, 1909, 
aged about 64 years. His funeral took place on Monday, with interment in Salem 
M. E. Cemetery.
     Mr. Bell was a veteran of the Civil war, having been listed in the 130th 
[could be 180th] Reg. Penna Calvalry. For many years he had suffered from 
defective eyesight. He at one time, kept the hotel at Peach Bottom, but 
several years ago moved to Lower Chanceford. He is survived by his wife who 
was Miss Annie C. Stifler, daughter of the late Samuel Stifler, of Peach 
Bottom Township.
