William K. Bender - Apr 20, 1991

Airville - William Kinzer Bender, 74, of Airville RD 1, died at 3 a.m Saturday 
at University of Chicago Hospital. He was the husband of Martha M. 
(Barshinger) Bender.

A memorial service (4/24/91) will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Guinston United 
Presbyterian Church, Brogue. A private graveside service will be Wednesday in 
the church cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Burg Funeral 
Home, Inc. 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Memorial contributions may be made to 
Restoration Fund for the Old Guinston Church, in care of Kay Flaharty, Brogue 
RD 2, 17309.

Mr. Bender was born in Peach Bottom Township. He was the son of the late Ellis 
and Margie (Montgomery) Bender.

He was a self-empoloyed farmer. He was a member, former trustee and former 
cemetery treasurer of Guinston United Presbyterian Church. He was a member of 
the Pennsylvania Farmers Association and the building committee for the 
buidling of the Chanceford Elementry School, Brogue.

Mr. Bender also is survived by a daughter, Linda M. Yeckley of Seven Valleys 
RD 2; two grandchildren; and a brother, Roy M. Bender of Airville RD 1.
Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. John R. Maisch.
