Bixler Mrs. Lydia Follmar, of No. 19 West Middle Street, has received word announcing the death of her sister, Mrs. Mary M. Bixler, in Kansas. The deceased was the wife of David M. Bixler and died at her home in Iota, Kansas, Thursday, Feb. 10th, from an illness extending over twenty years of diabetes and Brights disease. She was aged about 65 years. The deceased was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Miller) Zumbrum of West Manheim Township. About 44 years ago she was married to Mr. Bixler and four years later they moved West. Besides her husband she is survived by one son and two daughters, Gordon Bixler, of Oklahoma; Mrs. Dwight McCarty, of Iola, and Miss Grace Bixler, at home. Two grandchildren, Ira Bixler McCarty and Mildred Eloise Bixler and the following brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. William Werner and Daniel Zumbrum, of Kentland, Indiana; William F. and George Zumbrum, of Pleasant Hill, and Mrs. Lydia Follmer, of Hanover. Solomon Bixler, of this place, is a brother-in-law and Mrs. Amos Sauble, of Melrose; Mrs. Noah Peterman, Hanover, are sisters-in-law of the deceased. Mrs. Bixler was well known here as she was born and raised near Sherman’s church, where she had a host of friends, who extend their sympathy to the family in their bereavement.
