Death was the result of a complication of diseases following an illness of a number of months. She was aged 51 years, and is survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs. Emma Shellman, of New Oxford; seven children, Mrs. Frank Hyser, of Penn township; Floyd, Grace, Earl, Pauline, Eilene and Mildred, at home; one brother, George Shellman, of near New Oxford, and one sister, Mrs. William Hensel, of York. Her father’s name was William Shellman. The funeral was held on Monday morning with services at the house and further obsequies at the United Brethren church, Hanover, Rev. C. C. Miller officiating. The body was brought to Mt. Carmel cemetery, where interment was made. Adams County Independent, September 22, 1922
