H. Chandlee - Former Resident of Woodbine Area, Dies Woodbine - Word of the death of Dr. Benjamin Herbert Chandlee, a former resident of this area, was received here yesterday. Dr. Chandlee, 53, died Sunday at his home in Philadelphia. Dr. Chandlee spent his boyhood in Lower Chanceford township, attending schools of the area. He was the son of Veazy and Jennie Stokes Chandlee, Woodbine RD. He was graduated from Frankford High School, Philadelphia, and the University of Pennsylvania and Jefferson Medical school in that city. A surgeon, at the time of his death he was chief of staff of the Frankford hospital, Philadelphia. In addition to his parents he leaves his wife, two daughters, Jean and Linda, at home; brothers and sisters, Margaret R. Chandlee, Woodbine RD; Mrs. Goldie Chandlee Weaver, Frederick Md.; and John Harry Chandlee, Woodbine RD. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Presbyterian church with the Rev. W. Merval Weaver, pastor of the Presbyterian church, Frederick, Md.; officiating.
