He was the husband of Georgia (Hardesty) Chandlee. The couple recently had observed the 45th anniversary of their wedding. The service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pine Grove Presbyterian Church, Airville RD 2, PA. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church. The Harkins Funeral Home Inc., 600 Main St., Delta, PA, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Chandlee was born in Delta. He was the son of the late Ira W. and Lucy (Ringland) Chandlee. He had retired in 1976 from the Railroad Perishable Inspection Agency in Toledo, Ohio, and moved back to Elkton. He was a 1936 graduate of St. John's College, Annapolis, and served with the Quartermaster Corps during World War II. He was a member of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church. He belonged to American Legion Cecil County Post 15. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. John R. Maisch, pastor of the New Harmony Presbyterian Church.
