Craumer died suddenly at her home 39 West Middle Street at 11:45 last night. The death of Mrs. Craumer which occurred while her husband had gone to summon a physician was pronounced by Dr. Charles Wagner to have been due to acute indigestion. She was aged 57 years. Mrs. Craumer retired in the evening apparently in her usual health. Later in the night she awoke and feeling ill went down stairs to obtain relief by drinking hot water. Mr. Craumer and other members of the family were aroused and the former went to summon Dr. Wagner. Before the arrival of the physician, however the pressure from the gas caused by the indigestion reached her heart. The deceased was a daughter of Levi Swartzbaugh, York street and the late Nancy Mummert Swartzbaugh. She was a member of Hanover Home communion and also of the Methodist Episcopal Church. surviving are her father and husband, two sons and four daughters as follows: Lewis Edwin Craumer, Mrs. Hugh Hamm, Mrs. Argan Fahs, Misses Emma and Blanche and Donald Craumer at home. Seven Grandchildren survive. Also two brothers and a sister Lewis Swartzbaugh- West Middle Street and George Swartzbaugh- Lancaster and Mrs. Edward Poist North Street, McSherrystown. The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock wish services at the house. Interment will take place in Mr. Olivet cemetery. York Daily Record, September 4, 1925
