Mrs. Caroline Ehrhart dropped dead Tuesday in the kitchen of her home in Codorus township, two miles east of Jefferson, from an attack of heart disease. The deceased was the wife of Frank Ehrhart. She was about fifty years old, in poor health for several weeks. Mrs. Ehrhart on Tuesday was feeling much improved in condition. A few hours previous to her sudden death she had remarked to members of the family, “I am feeling great.” Coming down stairs for supper she entered the kitchen. As she did so she tottered and fell. When member of the family reached her side she was unconscious, and before medical aid could arrive she was dead. Her husband and the following children survive: Mrs. Curtis Kopp, Spring Grove; May, Edna, Hilda, John, Wilmot and Miles, at home, and Clair, at York. Her mother, Mrs. Sarah Becker, who lives at the Ehrhart home, also survives her. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, December 20, 1913
