FISHEL, justice of the peace of North Codorus township for the past 25 years, died at his home at 5 a. m. yesterday. He had been ailing for some time, but had taken to his bed only two weeks ago. Death resulted from acute myocarditis. He was aged 70 years, 3 months and 15 days. Mr. FISHEL had been active in politics in York county and was Democratic chairman in the first precinct in North Codorus township. The polling place was located at his home. He taught school for 23 years in this neighborhood. An active lodgeman, Mr. FISHEL was a charter member of Washington camp No. 349, P. O. S. of A., of this place, organized in 1899. From 1901 to the present time he was secretary of the lodge. He was also a charter member of Yorktowne chapter No. 841, I. O. O. F. York. For the past 35 years he was a director of the Paradise Mutual Fire Insurance company and at the time of his death was vice president of the company. Although Mr. FISHEL was born in Red Lion, he had lived in North Codorus township since his babyhood, and in the house where his death occurred for the past 41 years. He was a member of Wolf's Reformed church. Surviving are four sons, Harry, Bair Station, Allen, York, and John and Spencer at home; a stepbrother Daniel WOLF, York, and three grandchildren. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock, with services in Wolf's church. Interment will be in Wolf's cemetery. In the absence of his pastor, the Rev. E. V. STRASBAUGH, the Rev. Dr. O. P. SHELLHAMER, York, will officiate. Funeral Director C. O. Goodling, Seven Valleys, will be in charge of the funeral. Additional Comment: Birth est. 1860.
