Handwritten on obit “6-19-1923”

Bert FISSEL, for many years an employee of the York Manufacturing company, died 
yesterday morning at 11:50 o’clock at his residence, 142 South Harley street. 
Death resulted from a stroke which Mr. FISSEL suffered a week ago. He was 70 
years old. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. Alverta WAGNER, at home; Mrs. Joseph 
KEARNEY of New York, and Mrs. Frank HAMME, of Cleveland, O.; and the following 
brothers and sisters, Frank, George, and Miss Sally FISSEL, all of Seven 
Valleys, and William FISSEL of Emigsville. Three grandchildren also survive. Mr. 
FISSEL was a resident of York for the past 40 years. He was member of the Union 
Lutheran church. The funeral will be held on Thursday, with services at his late 
home at 3 p. m.  Interment will be private in Greenmount cemetery.
