All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/york/ _______________________________________________ Mrs. Reuben Flickinger Mrs. Mary Flickinger, widow of the late Reuben Flickinger, died Monday afternoon, June 26, at 2 o’clock at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Alice Flickinger, No. 31 McAllister Street. Mrs. Flickinger received a stroke of paralysis last Tuesday which caused her death at the age of 75 years, 5 months and 6 days. The deceased before marriage was Miss Mary Heilman, daughter of the late Eli and Mary Moul Heilman, of Berwick Township, Adams County. She was married 55 years ago to Mr. Flickinger, who died 10 years ago. She is survived by the following daughters: Mrs. Ida Englestine, of York; Miss Amanda Flickinger, of New Oxford; Mrs. Rebecca Crowell, of Penn Street, and Mrs. Gilbert Tawney, of Harrisburg. Also one sister, Mrs. John Gates, of New Oxford, and 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral Thursday morning, services at the house at 10 a.m. followed by interment on the family lot in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Rev. A. M. Heilman, officiating. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, July 1, 1916
