Mrs. Amanda Fried, widow of Marcellus Fried, who died suddenly last Saturday 
evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Oldhouser, North Albemarle street and 
Wayne avenue, was buried yesterday.  Short services were held at the home of her 
son, Harry Fried, 730 East Market street, at 2 o’clock, after which the body was 
taken to St. Mark’s Lutheran church, East Market street, where concluding 
services were held.  Several selections were sung by the church choir.  The 
pallbearers were six grandchildren:  Paul Lehr, Warren Lehr, Floyd Fried, Walter 
McDowell, George Schroder and Luther Lehr.  Interment was made in Prospect Hill 
cemetery.
