The man's name was Wm. A. GEMMILL, and he was 24 years old. At the time of the accident he was riding on the rear of the tender which was backing up to an extra freight. In some way he lost his hold and slipped, one pair of wheels passed over his body. He expired immediately. The remains were taken to Union station, but were afterwards carried back to Mount Vernon, where Coroner Baldwin held an inquest. The deceased had been on the road eight months. He was a son of John B. GEMMILL, superintendent of the Stewartstown were brought to his house last evening.--York Daily.
