GIBBS, Stewartstown Barber, Follows Sister In Death Underwent Operation Stewartstown, Dec. 9 - George S. GIBBS, North Main street barber and grower of vegetable plants, died at 1:30 o’clock Saturday morning at the West Side sanitarium, York, at which institution he underwent an operation, on Thursday. He had been in ill health for over four months and death was caused by kidney trouble. The deceased was aged 68 years, 2 months and 1 day, and he is survived by his widow, formerly Miss Ida FISHEL, one son David Irvin, York, and one brother, Harry M., York. The funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon with a brief service at the Gibbs home at 2 o’clock, with concluding services in the Methodist Episcopal church. The pastor, Rev. Harry E. CROW, will officiate. Interment in the Stewartstown cemetery, W. Howard WEBB, funeral director of this place and Fawn Grove, has charge of the funeral arrangements. This is the second death in the Gibbs family in less than two weeks, his sister Mrs. Amanda GRIFFITH, was buried on Friday, November 30th.
