All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/york/ _______________________________________________ Solomon Gladfelter At his home in Rossville, at 2 a.m., Saturday, January 29th, Solomon Gladfelter, one of Warrington township’s oldest and best known citizens, passed away, aged 87 years, 2 months and 8 days. The deceased is survived by his wife, a son, John W. Gladfelder, and grandson, Charles Gladfelter, and four great-grandchildren, all of who reside in the ancestral home in Rossville. More that a half century ago Mr. Gladfelter was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Bentz, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Bentz. The funeral was held Tuesday morning at 10:30, with interment in the Friends’ Cemetery. Rev. L.A. Miller, of the United Evangelical Church and Rev. H.T. Bowersox, of the Lutheran Church, conducted the service. The Funeral Director was Chas. G. Elicker and the following gentlemen, neighbors of the deceased, were the pall-bearers: Messrs. M.B.
