Gross, a West End butcher, who died last Tuesday evening, was buried Saturday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted at 2 o’clock at the family residence, 713 West Philadelphia street. Rev. Dr. A. G. Fastnacht, a former pastor of Union Lutheran church, this city, now of Dover, officiated. The pallbearers were seven sons, as follows: C. E. Gross, W. A. Gross, P. S. Gross, S. S. Gross, G. R. Gross, and J. B. Gross. Interment was made in the family burial plot in Prospect Hill cemetery. The Gazette, York, PA, August 9, 1915 TRANSCRIBER’S NOTE: Only six sons named.
