DEATH TAKES BIG TOLL THIS WEEK
MRS ALLIE GROVE
Mrs. Allie Grove, widow of the late F. W. Grove, formerly of near Muddy Creek 
Forks, died on Tuesday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and 
Mrs. S. J. Todd, Due West, S. C. Death was caused by infirmities due to 
advanced age. She was aged 81 years, 10 months and 3 days. Her husband died 
several years ago. Surviving are three sons and three daughters: Rev. W. V. 
Grove, Pittsburgh; Harry L. Grove, High Rock, and E. Grove, Berkley, Cal; Mrs. 
S. J. Todd, Due West, S. C.; Miss Elsie E. Grove, a missionary at Sudan, 
Africa, and Miss E. Viola Grove, of Poughkeepsie, N. Y. The funeral services 
were held on Thursday from the home of her son, Harry Grove, High Rock, Md., 
and services in the Guinston United Presbyterian Church, in charge of Rev. C. 
A. McConaughy. The interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.
