Haar, well-known resident of Franklin township, died about 4 o’clock Thursday morning, after a brief illness. He is surviving by two daughters, Effie and Rachel and a son, Miles. Mrs. Haar died on October 4th, 1915, less than four months ago. The deceased was a member of Washington Camp, No. 777, P.O.S. of A., Dillsburg. The funeral will be held Monday Morning, leaving the house at 9:30, with services and interment at Franklin Cemetery. Haar, who died last Thursday morning, was held Monday morning, with services and interment at Franklin. The funeral was very largely attended, the funeral cortege consisting of about seventy-five vehicles. Rev. I.J. Sollenberger, of the Church of God, and Rev. G.H. Eveler, of the Lutheran Church, conducted the services. The pall-bearers were Messrs. Joseph Bupp, Ed. M. Byers, Milton Wolf, Henry C. Sheaffer, Harry Eichelberger and William Hoffman. Mr. Haar was aged 47 years, 1 month and 4 days. He was highly respected and was an elder in the Bethel Church of Good, was a member of the Order of Independent Americans at Latimore and of Washington Camp, No. 777, P.O.S. of A., of Dillsburg. Messr. John S. Kapp, M. Clarence Thumma, J.J. Klugh and Russell Weaver represented Camp 777 at the funeral. Dillsburg Weekly Bulletin, Friday, February 4, 1916
