All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/york/ _______________________________________________ Theopholus Haar Theopholus Haar died at his home in Paradise township, on Wednesday, December 11, from the effects of a paralytic stroke received in the yard at his home the day previous, when he fell to the ground where he was found shortly afterward by his son, Gideon. Fifteen minutes after being removed to the house he lost consciousness, and remained in that state until death occurred. His age was 66 years. The deceased is survived by three sons and four daughters as follows: Henry Haar, of near New Oxford; Harvey Haar, of Mechanicsburg; Mrs. Herbert Hendricks, of New Freedom, York county, Miss Emma Haar, of Camden, N. J., Gideon Haar and Misses Lillian and Susan Haar, at home. He is also survived by a brother and sister – Valentine Haar, of near Abbottstown, and Mrs. Daniel Heilman, near that place. Funeral Friday, Dec. 12, brief services at the house at 9:30 a.m., further services at the Lutheran church, Abbottstown, interment in cemetery adjoining. Rev. S. A. Deihl, of Hanover, and Rev. F. C.
