He was the husband of Mary March Hamm. A Son of the late John and Annie Flickinger Hamm, he was born in York Co, Sept 22, 1893 He was a member of the Hanover Home Association Lodge 227, Loyal Order of Moose; Aerie 1406, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Improvement Order of Red Men. In Addition to his wife he is survived by seven children: Kenneth Hamm, Hanover RD 5, Richard Hamm, 77 George Street, Miss Dorothy Hamm and Mrs. William Schaeffer, Orland, Fl; Mrs. Helen Yost 211 Frederick Street: Mrs. Rowland Adams, Wilmington Del, and Mrs. Robert Topper Pomona, Calif; eighth grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, four brothers John R. New Oxford; Walter New Oxford R.D.: Donald, McSherrystown, Robert Hamm, Hanover, and a stepbrother George Hamm, York. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2pm at the Wetzel funeral home, Carlisle Street. The Rev Dr. Howard E Sheely, pastor of the Trinity United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. Hanover Evening Sun, June 6, 1964 DEATHS Hugh K. Hamm Hugh K. Hamm, 70, Hanover R.5, died Friday at the Hanover Hospital. A native of York County, he was born September 22, 1893, a son of the late John and Annie (Flickinger) Hamm, and was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church of Hanover. He was a manufacturer of brooms. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary March and seven children: Kenneth Hamm, Hanover; Richard Hamm, Hanover; Miss Dorothy Hamm, Orlando, Fla; Mrs. William Schaeffer, Orlando, Fla; Mrs. Helen Yost, Hanover; Mrs. Roland Adams, Wilmington, Del; Mrs. Robert Topper, Pomona, Calif. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and these brothers and sisters; Richard and Walter Hamm, both of New Oxford; Donald Hamm, McSherrystown, and Robert Hamm, Hanover, and by stepbrother, George Hamm, York. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Wetzel Funeral Home, Hanover, with the Rev. Howard Sheely, his pastor,officiating. Interment in Rest Haven Cemetery.
