Hamm, 66 Hanover, who had taught in Hanover public school for 36 years, died Monday at 7 am at the Golden Age Nursing Home, Hanover, where she was a guest. A daughter of the late John D. and Annie Klinefelter Hamm, she was a past worthy matron of Hanover Chapter 346, Order of the Eastern Star. Miss Hamm was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and the Sunday school, Mite Society and Women’s Guild of the congregation. She was affiliated with Pennsylvania State Education Association, Hanover Young Women’s Christian Association and New Oxford Garden Club. Surviving are: Five brothers, Hugh K. Hamm, Hanover R. 5; Robert F. Hamm, Hanover; J. R. and Walter J. Hamm, both of New Oxford, and Donald Hamm, McSherrystown, and a half brother, George L. Hamm, York. Funeral services were held Thursday at the Wetzel Funeral Home, Hanover. Her pastor, Rev. Dr. Howard E. Sheely, officiated. Internment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
