"Jake" Hamm Sr. 76 husband of Lilian Nace Hamm of New Oxford R.1 died Thursday at Hanover General Hospital. He was born in Hanover son of John and Anna Klinefelter Hamm. He was a member if Grace United Church of Christ and its Sunday School in Hanover. In 1966 he retired after 30 years as an owner operator trucker. He was a member of the Hanover Loyal Order of Moose No 227, the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Hanover, the McSherrystown Home Association. In addition to his wife he is survived by sons, Donald J. and Walter J. Hamm Jr. of New Oxford R. 1; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; brother Robert F. Hamm of 842 W. Middle Street, Hanover. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St, Hanover with Rev Carl A. Folk officiating. Internment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
