Hamme After a brief illness, following a stroke of paralysis, Mrs. Anna Mary Hamme, widow of the late Henry L. Hamme, passed into eternal rest at the family residence, No. 115 East Chestnut Street, Friday, August 9th. She was aged 77 years, 4 months and 21 days. The deceased was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Leahart, of Dover, where she was born and was later married to Henry L. Hamme. The family moved to this place from York 46 years ago. Her husband died March 24, 1910. Mrs. Hamme was the last surviving member of a large family. She leaves two daughters and three sons – Mrs. William Leschey, of High street extended; Miss Lillian M. Hamme, at home; Daniel H. Hamme, of Eberton; Robert L. Hamme, at home, and Charles L. Hamme, of Warren, Pa. The deceased was a woman of quite demeanor, esteemed by neighbors and friends for kindness of spirit and in the home as self-sacrificing mother. She was a member of Emmanuel Reformed church, and led a wholly consistent Christian life. Funeral Monday, Aug. 12, services at the house at 2 p.m., Rev. A. S. Dechant officiating.
