S. Grove, New Freedom, Lydia Hartenstein, nee Helb, wife of the late George L. Hartenstein, aged 82 years, 5 months and 15 days. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at the Grove residence Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Interment in New Freedom cemetery. Friends may call at the Grove residence Sunday afternoon and evening. Hartenstein New Freedom, May 16 – Mrs. Lydia Helb Hartenstein, widow of George L. Hartenstein, died at 6:15 o’clock last evening at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Grove, this place. Death was caused by a complication of diseases following a long illness. She was 82 years old. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Grove, with whom she resided, and Mrs. Alma Nonemaker, and a son, Dr. F. H. Hartenstein, all of this place; six grandchildren; a great grandchild; a brother, Frederick Helb, Denver, Colo. And a sister, Mrs. Mary Green, Shrewsbury. Mrs. Hartenstein was a member of St. John’s Lutheran church and belonged to the Missionary and Aid societies of the church. Funeral services will be held at the Grove residence on Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The Rev. M. E. Smith, pastor of the New Freedom Lutheran charges, will officiate.
