MRS. ALICE HEILAND EXPIRES AT HALLAM

Hallam, Feb. 11 – Mrs. Alice Agnes Wasser Heiland, widow of Moses B. Heiland, 
died at 12:35 o’clock this afternoon at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, 
Mr. and Mrs. William Sechrist, this place.  Death was caused by a complication 
of diseases following a short illness.  She was 73 years old.

Mrs. Heiland was born in Springettsbury township, a daughter of the late Eli and 
Sarah Jane Spangler Wasser.  She was a life-long member of Mt. Zion Reformed 
church and Sunday school.  Surviving are five children, Mrs. Sechrist, at whose 
home she died; Rev. M. B. ???? Red Lion; Mrs. Barbara Sipe, York; John M. 
Heiland, York R. D. 6, and Walter E. Heiland, York; 26 grandchildren and one 
brother, Charles Wasser, York.

The funeral will be held Wednesday with brief services at the Sechrist home at 
1:30 p.m. and further services at Mt. Zion Reformed church.  Interment will be 
made in the Mt. Zion cemetery.  The body was prepared for burial at the 
Etzweiler funeral home, Wrightsville.
