Mrs. Anna Mary Hershey, widow of the late Samuel Hershey, died at her home in 
Penn township, near New Baltimore, on Saturday, June 15, at 2:30 p.m., of 
gangrene, aged 77 years, 5 months and 14 days.  Mrs. Hershey had been an invalid 
for 6 years and 7 months, and most of this time was in helpless condition.  She 
is survived by the following sons and daughters – Howard H. Hershey, York 
Springs; Mrs. D. B. Herr, Midway; Mrs. George Bowers, Plainview; Samuel W. 
Hershey, York; Mrs. Isaac Hershey, Dover; Charles W. Hershey, Hanover; Edward B. 
Hershey, Lineboro, Md., and Mrs. Elsie C. Webster, of near New Baltimore.  Mrs. 
Hershey was a daughter of the late Major Henry Wolf, of near Abbottstown, and 
was married Oct. 14, 1847.
