Hershey died Sunday, July 21, at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Seth Hershey, Jackson township, after being sick four weeks with typhoid fever. He had been somewhat better a few days ago but suffered a relapse. He was 27 years, 11 months and 5 days old. Mr. Hershey was at one time a cigar-maker although recently he had worked on his father’s farm. He was for a number of years a member of the Spring Grove band and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran church. He also belonged to Camp No. 646, P. O. S. of A., Stoverstown, and the Spring Grove Beneficial and Protective association. Surviving are his parents, his brothers, Charles L. Hershey, Spring Grove; Jonas L., Jackson township; Seth, Jr., York; sisters, Mrs. George Rohrbaugh, Heidelberg township, and Mrs. William Shepp, Spring Grove.
