Mrs. Abigal HIMES dies at Bigmount

Bigmount, July 13. – Mrs. Abigal HIMES, widow of Peter HIMES, died at her 
residence here at 7:30 o’clock this morning. Death was caused from a 
complication of diseases. Mrs. Himes had been ill for several months. She was 
aged 86 years and 22 days. Mrs. HIMES is survived by one daughter, Ida, at home, 
and one son, Irvin, this place. Five stepsisters, Mrs. Emma BRILLHART, 
Thomasville; Mrs. Oliver GROSS, Connecticut; Mrs. Daniel MARCH, here; Mrs. Harry 
WATSON, Huntsdale, and Mrs. Frank FISSEL, East Berlin, also survive. The funeral 
will be held from her late home at 9 o’clock Saturday morning, with concluding 
services in Altland’s Meeting house, near East Berlin. Burial will be made in 
the cemetery adjoining the meeting house. Funeral Director Harry EMIG, East 
Berlin, is in charge of the funeral.
