Death of an Aged Minister

Rev. Henry Hoff, a well-known German Baptist minister, died of old age, last 
night about 1 o'clock, at his home near Black Rock, in his 84th year.  His wife 
died last September.  Two sons and three daughters survive him, one of his 
daughters, Mrs. Theodore Price, resides near Astoria, Ill.  He had been laboring 
in the ministry for about forty years, and was highly respected for his 
consistent Christian character.  The funeral will take place on Sunday morning 
at 10 o'clock, services at the Black Rock meeting house.
